Question on 'cpconfig'

Hi All,

I've got an installation on a Nokia IP 380 (new install) where I'm running Checkpoint NG. Everything is working great except for the following that I need some guidance on:

- in running 'cpconfig' for the first time I created an admin account called admin with the password accordingly.

When I go to run 'cpconfig' again and select the option to view "administrator" accounts via a console connection; nothing is ever displayed.

Conversely, if I go into the GUI, I don't see the account 'admin' there either; however I can see other 'admin type' users I've created by the GUI.

This is usign the IPSO 3.7.1 OS - is this supposed to work this way?

The reason for this is to rename / delete the orginal account called 'admin' and create a new account in its place.

I know that there is the issue with users created via 'cpconfig' don't show up in the GUI and vice versa but this appears to be something different?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

MA

on nokia solution, the users are different.

the cpconfig permit access on fw-gui, while the voyager user permit console access and voyager access, so by a console you can manage fw users.
