I have a Dell 2650 and am contemplating installing secureplatform on it.  My only concern is hardware monitoring.  Would like to have some feedback on how people who are running SPLAT are handling this.

how about using SNMP?  I've been using SNMP version 3 on these Splat boxes for almost a year now and I am quite happy with it.
