We are in the process of upgrading an ACS server, which also is our management/logging station for our FW-1 NG FP3 on WIN2k


I've installed the CP software, and running through the lisence details, when the Configuration program asks for a new HIT-KEY session to be generated.  Is it ok to generate this new session and have the management server work with the enforcement module (also on win2k)? or can the "old" HIT-KEY session be imported?


I have until the end of the week to solve this problem so any help is much appreciated.

Always best to have a test environment for these type of things.

Sounds like you are upgrading the hardware. Ip address staying the same?

NG AI definately has, FP3 probably have export / import utility in the checkpoints cd's windows directory. Check that out.

Basically export config. Install software on new box. Do import. Its that simple in NG AI..remember to have NIC plugged or import fails.
