we have a problem with Citrix ICA timing out through Checkpoint NG to checkpoint NG GRE tunnel. The user were working with some application and the session will just drop and prompted that the network problems are preventing communication with Citrix Server? ANy idea? THanks
I am not sure what a GRE tunnel is. I guess you are using something else ( cisco routers ) to do your encryption. Suggest you switch off encryption and see if it works. You can do the citrix traffic with https anyway.
If you are doing encryption / access control on the checkpoints maybe you created a port 1494 when there are specific citrix services - Citrix-ICA and Citrix-Winframe. Try allowing them.
Funnily enought i am aware of a situation where people had to switch of cisco to cisco encryption because citrix wouldnt work through it.
hi, nope we are not using Cisco to do the encryption though, we are using the CP which does support GRE tunnel. Reason is all boil down to the policy set by the company. The problem is that there is no pattern to this time out connection. It happen randomly basically. We are looking at tuning the Citrix keepalive on the registry, but not too sure will that help.
