Cannot connect with SmartConsole

Hi,


I have installed R54 (secureplatform) from the CD, then upgraded to R55 (from file download) to get all my NIC recognised.


However, when I installed SmartConsole from the R54 CD, it does not work. First it does connect to the firewall and get the new certificate, then it fails saying "Connexion cannot be established, Incompatible version of Server"


I looked on Checkpoint web site for an upgrade of Smartconsole, but could not find any.


I even downloaded the version of the site, but it looks like it is the same as the other one.


Does someone knows what I need to do?

You need to download NG AI R55 GUI client from Checkpoint.  The filename is fwgui_541000127_2.exe.  You can NOT use a R54 GUI client to connect to a R55 management server.

in the about checkpoint smartdashboard it should say "Checkpoint NG with Application (R55) build 127"

Thanks. It is was I thought, but I cannot locate the file!


Where exactly on Checkpoint web site do you get it from?

You should be able to download it without any problem if you have a valid account.  I have Checkpoint CSP account so it works for me.

I have an account too, but I cannot find where it is!!!!


I sent you an email as well that shows the screen where I can the software.


I have been able to download the R55 upgrade wrapper, so why it is that I cannot find the GUI upgrade too?

go on windows2000 section of ng55, and look for the gui.

You can find the GUI you need in the following folder if you have the Wrapper


 


Windows_wrapper_R55windowsCPMgmtClnt-50
