Hi,


I would like to done an upgrade from NG FP2 to NG FP3. Did i need to obtain for new license for NG FP3. If do, why we need to copy this file (cp.license) to new machine..

i suggest you an upgrade, so no new license procedure.
but licenses are the same for ng, but different from 4.1

In my experience with checkpoint, whether you upgrade or fresh installation, always use "eval" license.  That will ensure that your upgrade or "new" installation will almost always succeed.  After that, apply your existing license and remove the eval license.  If it breaks, call checkpoint TAC support.
