FW1-AI-r54 & Dynamic DSL internet Connection

Hi all,

A seemingly simple issue I just can't find the configs to do;
Setup:
- CPFW1-AI-r54 on W2003
- Dynamic DSL internet connection using RASPPPoE

Prior to installing FW1, the RASPPPoE connection works fine, but after installing, I try connecting to the internet and (obviously) it doesn't connect.  My error is simply that it doesn't connect ("no answer").  I can't find the config options to ensure that the line out to the internet is a dynamically assigned IP address and let FW1 know about this so it can allow incoming TAPI (?) traffic to connect the DSL line.

My FW1 has 3 arms: internal lan, dmz, and internet connection.  The RASPPPoE setup is such that it creates a separate dial-up connection to the internet NIC (which is eth-connected to the DSL modem).  The dial-up connection connects to the DSL provider whilst the internet NIC only has PPPoE enabled (IP disabled).  I have a feeling this is creating an issue in that FW1 may not be able to filter this protocol (and therefore just block it).

Any thoughts of assistance would be greatly appreciated!

cheers

A follow up; I have managed to get the DSL dialer working; I had to uncheck CPFW1 from the Internet connected NIC properties.  Although this sounds counter intuitive, CPFW1 still blocks internet traffic (as long as you have the appropriate rules) though now I am working out the NAT/Routing side of things!
