I have just started using the revision control in FP3. I am trying this out in a lab situation first and I have a couple of questions. The lab layout is 1 win2k management server and 2 nokia enforcement boxes, all with the latest patches applied.
I have enabled revision control and installed a policy. I then started modifying the policy and reinstalling while letting revision control prompt me to give it a name. So I now have 10 seperate policy's that I can view under revision control. I also see were these policies are stored on my management station all nice and zipped up. So far so good.
However!
I've noticed that pushing policy has slowed down, almost twice as long. So the first question is....
Are all the revisions being compiled and sent to the nokia boxes for safe keeping? and if so where? I have searched high and low but can't find them on the box.
Second quesiton is even better. I was able to restore several policies and prove that it works, then it just quit working. I can view all the policies but when it comes time to restore a policy, it fails. It fails on all the policies, not just on one of them. But I can still use the view function in revision control to view it. I can even go to the directories that they are stored in and unzip them.
The 3 boxes have lots of memory, lots of disk space. and I have rebooted all boxes several times. Still the same problem.
