secureplatform kernel panic on boot

Hi

I'm having this strange issue with secure platform on a single xeon 3GHz HP ProLiant 380 with 2 36.4GB SCSI disks in RAID1

installation runs flawlessly

secure platform detects the controllers, NIC etc and it partitions/formats perfectly

after reboot, i get to the menu where you can choose to boot secure platform normally or in debug mode etc, and after i continue to boot, it halts

I rebooted and entered debug mode and got this error message:

mount: error 19 mounting ext3

pivotroot: pivot_root (/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed: 2

I tried booting with knoppix and checked all the partitions, and they're all there and there's files installed by secure platform in all of them, so that looks ok to me

anyone have an idea what this could be ?

the proliant was configured with smartstart and OS was set to linux

Are you using Secureplatform NG with AI R54?  Try NG with AI R55.  I had similar problem with R54 where the installation run flawlessly but some of the files were missing so 'cpconfig' would not work.  Again, try Secureplatform R55.

thank you for the advice, but I am already running R55

when I couldn't get R55 to work, I tried installing R54, but this wouldn't even install since it didn't know the SCSI controllers

You want to contact me offline so that I can ask Checkpoint TAC directly since I already have a similar case  with Checkpoint TAC
